I’m Laura! And I like to paint. I thought I’d introduce myself and my art, as this is the first blog post on my new website.

I paint mixed media works, and specialise in seascapes inspired by the lovely beaches near my home in East Brighton, UK, as well as painting butterflies! 🦋

I sell paintings from the brilliant @art5_gallery in Brighton and sell / work from The Open Studios on Brighton seafront (see photo!), and of course now from my brand new website.

I exhibit my work nationally and sell internationally! 🌎 I’m never happier than when one of my paintings wings it’s way to a new home or collector, whether locally or overseas. It brings a little zing of joy to me! ✨

I love to experiment with materials and paint, and plan to do much more of that in the year to come. Gonna start soon with playing about with plaster - hurrah - watch this space for updates!
